All set for Hobbs Music Festival 07

Cult musician John Otway has been named as the opening act of this year's Hobbs Music Festival in Yapton.

Otway is a self-confessed unsuccessful singer songwriter who built a large cult audience through unrelenting touring, a surreal sense of humour and an underdog personality.

The festival will take place on September 15 and 16. Other acts set to entertain the audience include The Matt Argyle Band, East of Ealing and 6.15.

Again in aid of Bognor Regis-based charity 4Sight, the organisation is hoping the proceeds will top the 10,600 which was brought in last year.

All the proceeds from the festival go directly to the charity to enable it to continue to maintain and provide valuable services to blind and partially sighted people in West Sussex.

There will also be various stalls selling homemade cakes, pickles and Indian jewellery, O'Hagans hog roast and barbecue (with a vegetarian option), and liquid refreshment such as locally made ale and cider.

Children are welcome too at this family event. Many camp overnight with breakfast available for a small extra cost.

Entry is by advance ticket sales only. Prices are 15 a person a day or 20 for the weekend. Children 6-15 are half price.

Bookings to Karen or Bev at 4Sight on 01243 838008.
