The play is a ‘comic mystery’ set in 1968 London and features the characters of Gerald and Agnes Church from last year’s show, Gentle Harry’s Farm, as he gets involved in politics and she becomes a rookie reporter.

It has all the 60s themes of flower power, free love, fashion, and astral flying, set against a background of power politics, a dubious North African revolution and the Vietnam war. The company, which began touring its unique contemporary take on the Commedia dell’Arte style of physical theatre in 1999, has now created 11 new plays, all containing a mixture of live songs, slapstick action and multi-layered plots.

Its new tour, which kicked off in Crowhurst last Saturday, includes nearly 40 performances in outdoor venues across the south, from Kent to Devon, and has been coming to St Leonards since 2009. The show begins at 7.30pm and the park will be open for picnicking from 6pm.
