Visitors were entertained with performances from a belly dancing troupe, hip hop dancers and jive dancers and everyone had a good time. Sadly, five years later, the tourist attraction itself became a thing of the past, closing its doors on November 1, 2015, as the owners could no longer afford to keep it running. The museum documented 125 years of British social living history and contained more than 150,000 nostalgic artefacts, plus virtual and interactive exhibits. Yesterday’s World was well-known for its life-size street scenes and shop displays, which included an old-fashioned chemist and a sweet shop.
