Our MPs' expenses scandal

LOVE of money is a demon and its passion never coolsAnd it's futile to cry out that you've claimed within the rules.Yes, poor rules do need changing, but there's a moral issue hereAnd some 'honourable' members have fallen short, that's clear.

While the tax-paying voters are struggling with recession,

Do you perceive their outrage and feelings of aggression?

With two million out of work and homes being repossessed,

You've been busy with expenses, feathering your nest.

Substantial sums have been involved, with mortgages, 'house flipping';

Greed has taken a tight grip and your standards sadly slipping.

Infighting and manoeuvring as you try to stay afloat
