Film fest to support vital hospice work

A sci-fi and fantasy film festival has been organised to support Demelza Hospice Care for Children.

Hyperdrive 2015 will take place over the weekend of October 10/11 at Hailsham’s Pavilion Cinema and Theatre.

Demelza provides care to more than 150 children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in East Sussex.

At the event, movie makers from around the world will be showing off their latest productions and visitors will be able to enjoy more than 30 independent sci-fi and fantasy films.

There will be eight screenings and a chance for film buffs to see what’s new from some of the greatest up and coming directors in the world of sci-fi and fantasy film.

There will also be a selection of awards made during the weekend, with categories including best feature film, best leading actor, best visual effects and best animated film.

They cost £5 per screening. You can also get a full weekend pass for £20.
