The first prize for Friends to win in the monthly prize draw at the end of October is afternoon tea for two at South Lodge. This will be followed by wine tasting for four at Mannings Heath Golf Club, annual membership to Leonardslee Lakes and Gardens and free family entry to Amberley Museum.

Horsham District Council cabinet member for culture Jonathan Chowen said: “The Year of Culture marks a significant investment in our district’s culture, heritage and the arts, and from the outset we have always actively encouraged as many people as possible to get as involved as possible.

“I am therefore really pleased that we have now introduced this Friends of the Year of Culture programme and would urge you to sign up and join to start enjoying the considerable benefits on offer.”

As the project’s sponsor, Horsham District Council is coordinating the Year of Culture, working closely with advisors and partners representing arts and heritage throughout the community.
