Bexhill Photographic Club

A MEMBER of Bexhill Photographic Club has arranged four illustrated natural-history lectures, which are open to the public.

On October 18, Dr Ed Jarzembowski, keeper of Maidstone Museum, invites you to bring along your own seashore finds for inspection, to add intrigue to the handling specimens accompanying his Natural History On The Beach talk.

As the autumn winds start blowing, and winter approaches, it's an ideal time to walk the tide-line and discover a range of wild life washed up from the depths, ranging from sea hearts to mermaid's purses.

In the New Year, there follow, on February 21, Dr Peter Brandham, from the Royal Botanical Gardens of Kew, with A Year At Kew And The Lost World and, on March 21, Chris Meachen, a local specialist, with Conservation Of Aquatic Species.

All lectures are on Saturdays, 2 -5 pm, with refreshments; 7 at the door, at Parkhurst Hall, Sackville Road Methodist Church, Parkhurst Road, Bexhill. Any enquiries 461913.
