Moises Caicedo has gained many admirers of late but the Ecuador international admits there is a player at Brighton more skilful than himself

Caicedo has been excellent for Albion following his introduction to the first team at the back end of last season. The 21-year-old has carried on his fine form this term and – under new head coach Roberto De Zerbi – is playing some of the best football of his young career.

Despite January interest from Premier League giants such as Liverpool, Arsenal, Tottenham and Manchester United, Caicedo said last week that he wants to help eighth placed Albion achieve European qualification this campaign.

The Seagulls have impressed following the World Cup break and have six points from three Premier League matches and also have a fourth round FA Cup tie to look forward to after their thumping 5-1 win at Middlesbrough last weekend.

Speaking to the Albion website – ahead of this Saturday's Premier League clash with Liverpool – Caicedo was asked which of his teammates is the fastest and the most skilful.

"Mitoma [is the fastest] with Tariq Lamptey," said Caicedo. The midfielder was then asked, who he most likes to train with and which player is the most skilful. "Kaoru Mitoma, because he is a fantastic player,” he added. “I enjoy when Kaoru plays because he plays too easy. When he has the ball, his skills, two or three players in one action, he is amazing."
