LETTER: Thousands in cash raised

Littlehampton District Lions would like to thank the residents of Littlehampton and Rustington, their families and friends for their generous donations to our collections in the run up to Christmas.

Santa’s Grotto at the Rustington Christmas event began our campaign, followed by House to house collections with Santa and static events at Sainsbury and Tesco supermarkets and in The Street in the village.

The unusually dry, mild weather was a considerable help to our efforts and enabled us to collect a grand total of £4,084, the best for many years, which will go into our Charitable Trust to support those less fortunate than ourselves. Thanks to you all, to new helpers and to the friends and families of our members who helped with the house to house collections.
