NHS figures, released today, have confirmed the number of people who have now died with Covid-19 in East Sussex hospitals.

According to data from NHS England, a total of 20 people have died from the virus in hospitals operated by the East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.

The figures show four people died in East Sussex hospitals on April 3.

The latest figures from Public Health England, updated on Monday (April 6), showed 161 people in East Sussex had tested positive for Covid-19.

The death toll of patients in England have risen by 758 in the past 24 hours.
