Members of the public will be able to ask the project team questions and offer their feedback at drop-in sessions at Littlehampton Swimming and Sports Centre on Monday, October 3 from 4pm to 7pm; Thursday, October 6 from 2pm to 5pm and Saturday, October 8 from 10am to 1pm.

The plans will also be available to view at the Arun Civic Centre in Maltravers Road and on the Arun District Council website for a week starting Monday, October 3.

It is expected that the planning application will be submitted at the end of October 2016, with building set to start in 2017.

The centre will be built on the site of the current sports dome and car park in Sea Road. The existing building will be demolished once the new building is completed.

Councillor Paul Dendle, Arun District Council’s Cabinet Member for Leisure and Amenities, said: “I’m delighted that the new leisure centre is progressing according to plan.

“The drawings meet the required facility mix and will provide the community with a fully accessible and integrated facility.

“I hope everyone takes the time to view the proposals and have a say about their new community leisure centre.”

Willmott Dixon Construction Ltd is undertaking the preconstruction phase.
