Police in Sussex accidentally discovered a brothel during a drugs raid yesterday (June 27).

Mid-Sussex Prevention Inspector Darren Taylor tweeted this afternoon that his team carried out a drug warrant in Burgess Hill yesterday, but their target turned out to be a brothel instead.

People found inside were arrested, he said.

Officers from the immigration team had been called in to carry out checks and support safeguarding concerns, he added.
