Shoreham archer Bryony Pitman has been selected in the six-strong Great Britain recurve team for the upcoming European Championships.
She will be part of the British female team alongside Amy Oliver and Naomi Folkard. The event starts in Nottingham on Monday and runs until May 29.
Pitman, 19, has been competing at tournaments since 2008 and made her international debut in 2012.
She won a team gold medal at the Junior World Field Championships in France in 2012 and has competed at European and World Championship youth tournaments, as well as the Youth Olympic Games in China in 2014.
Performance director of Archery Great Britain David Tillotson said: “To have a home European Championship as well as the Olympic Games in the same year is a very exciting prospect for the team.
“Shooting in front of a home crowd will be a familiar experience to some of our Olympians from 2012, however for the younger members of the team this will be an opportunity for them to embrace a competition at home.”
