Littlehampton darts player James Stephenson will step up to the oche to take on five-time world champion Raymond van Barneveld later this month.
Stephenson will meet van Barneveld in the quarter-finals of the Brighton & Hove Albion Darts Masters at the Amex Stadium on Sunday, April 17.
The event features four of the world’s leading darts stars, with James Wade, Robert Thornton and Simon Whitlock also taking part.
Stephenson said: “I’m really looking forward to this great event at the Amex.
“I’ve played on stage before when I represented Surrey and Sussex at county darts, but I’m sure nothing will compare to this.”
Van Barneveld, who is currently taking part in the Premier League with Wade and Thornton, is looking forward to the event in Brighton.
He said: “I’m really looking forward to returning to Brighton with a top line-up of players. All four of us have played there before in the Premier League.
“I always remember the fans being fantastic, so I hope that will be replicated at the football stadium.”
