ARUNDEL Football Club fell to a third successive league defeat on Tuesday evening.

This time around they went down to Horsham YMCA in a closely-fought contest at Mill Road.

Mullets went behind after just ten minutes when Daniel Pollard struck.

Niall O’Hagan fired home to draw Arundel level with 25 minutes to go.

However, Anthony Hibbert was allowed too much time and space and slotted past James Fernandes for YM’s winner on 76 minutes.

Arundel’s day got worse when Liam Da Costa received a second yellow card with nine minutes left. That meant Mullets finished with ten men for the third successive match.

Arundel joint boss Craig Stuart felt it was an improved performance and said: “It was a much-better showing.

“The luck does not seem to be with us at this current time.

“But, hopefully, we can turn our form around with a win.”

Mullets are away to East Preston on Saturday.
