WICK & BARNHAM United Football Club’s run in the Peter Bentley Cup came to an end at Hailsham Town on Tuesday.
The hosts progressed through Danny Leach’s strike three minutes from time to reach the semi-finals.
Jon Tucker’s Wick side went into the game high on confidence, having won their previous six matches.
Hailsham, who are a division higher than Wick, took the lead on 30 minutes when Leach bagged his first of the game.
Andy Chick netted an equaliser for the visitors 17 minutes after the break and the tie looked to be heading for extra-time.
However, Leach bagged his second of the tie three minutes from tie to knock Wick out.
Hailsham will now face fellow Division 1 side Arundel in the semi-finals, at a venue to be confirmed, on March 10.
Wick now turn their attentions to a Division 2 title push and they travel to Midhurst & Easebourne on Saturday.
Worthing United currently have a six point lead at the top but Wick have two games in hand.
