A huge thanks to the many thousands of Worthing West voters who supported Labour in the recent General Election.
The result was a truly astonishing 17.5 per cent increase in the Labour vote to over 18,000.
This was not only the best result ever by Labour in Worthing West, it firmly establishes us as the only party capable of challenging and beating the Tories in Worthing West.
It was a great pleasure and privilege to meet so many residents during the campaign and to hear about the issues that concern you.
There are so many things that make Worthing and district a great place to live, work and raise a family, but there are also deep concerns about housing, schools and health care.
I campaigned hard for change in the constituency and it clearly struck a chord with many voters. I, and the Labour team in Worthing, will continue that fight for change in Worthing.
Our campaigning certainly doesn’t stop now the General Election is over. We need to get Labour representation on the borough and county councils to offer a some real opposition to the Conservatives locally.
I’m confident that with your help we can achieve that.
