LETTER: Save the swimming pool

I would strongly advise the people of Littlehampton not to allow the swimming pool to be demolished before its replacement is built and ready to be used, as we were bamboozled by the removal of our hospital.

Somebody might be able to give us warning of any plans to knock it down before this is done.

It was suggested by someone I know that we may be promised a new pool at a certain cost, and if, which is most likely, it should exceed this amount, the powers that be would say that no more money was available.

With the present one demolished, our town would therefore no longer have a swimming pool.

So, be vigilant.

P.W. Watson
