Members of the Wick Village Traders’ Association have taken part in a spring clean event.
The group, along with volunteers from the Wick Information Centre supported the Great British Spring Clean event on Friday.
They gathered at 10am to clean up the village., as part of a nationwide initiative to make towns and villages across the country look nicer.
Roger Arthurs, a Wick Village Trader, said: “Today was a very exciting day for the Wick Information Centre Volunteers and the Wick Village Traders as we all took part in the ‘Great British Spring Clean’.
“The morning was enjoyed by everyone who took part and hopefully this will be the start of an ongoing clean up to keep our trading area nice and clean and tidy for the whole community.”
According to its website, The Great British Spring Clean ‘is a campaign with one simple ambition. To bring together people from across the country to clear up the litter that blights our towns, villages, countryside and coastline’.
