IT APPEARS two cars have collided along a stretch of road which saw a fatality within the past 24 hours.
The road is closed, causing traffic congestion near the Findon roundabout.
A Sussex Police spokesman confirmed a car had spun and another car was involved as well.
He said there appeared to be ‘significant damage’ to one of the vehicles, however at the moment there only appeared to be minor injuries to the people involved.
The road was still closed at the moment, he said, to assist with the recovery of the damaged vehicles.
An ambulance crew was called as a precaution to check on the drivers.
“We don’t believe it’s anything serious at this time,” said the spokesman.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service also confirmed it had not been called to the scene.
Yesterday (August 25), a 20-year-old Worthing man lost his life on the road after his blue Ford Fiesta collided with an oncoming silver Vauxhall Vectra.
The Vauxhall driver was taken to Worthing Hospital with minor injuries.
The stretch of road is currently the main diversion for the A27 as it remains closed at Shoreham following Saturday’s plane crash.
