Police seal off main road near Arundel after serious crash

Police officers were called to the scene of a serious crash near Arundel this afternoon (Thursday, March 18).

The A284 at Whiteways is closed after the crash involving a motorcycle and a van, police have said.

Chichester Police advised on social media that motorists should 'find another route' after the 'serious' road traffic collision, shortly before 1.30pm.

Sussex Police confirmed that officers remained at the scene at 5.30pm but were unable to reveal any further details.

Traffic is reportedly 'coping well', despite the road closure and accident investigation work, on A284 Arundel By Pass both ways from A29 (Whiteways Lodge Roundabout) to London Road.
