PLANNING: Littlehampton shop could become two new homes

THE owners of a small shop on the edge of Littlehampton town centre want to convert it to a flat and build a bungalow at the rear.

A brother and sister from Yapton who have owned 9A Arundel Road since 2008 (it previously belonged to their father) say they have been unable to find a long-term tenant for the shop, or sell it.

Their plans have been submitted to Arun District Council, along with the following other applications in the Gazette area:

Demolish double garage and build two-storey side extension with additional accommodation in the roof and other associated works, including enlarged loft conversion to rear range, 9 The Causeway.

EAST PRESTON: house, land next to 1 The Way.

Demolish house and garage and replace with a house with integral garage (re-submission following EP/134/14/PL), Shore House, Seafield Road.
