Littlehampton Town Merit Awards – do you know someone who deserves recognition?

Littlehampton Town Council is seeking nominations for the Town Merit Awards.

The annual awards shine the light on individuals and groups who make significant contributions to the town and townsfolk.

They were postponed in 2020 due to covid, but it has been confirmed this week that they will be presented this year at the Annual Town Meeting on July 8.

A spokesman for Littlehampton Town Council said: “You can make your very own nomination for these prestigious awards. Nominations might include those who work tirelessly to improve the quality of life of our residents, continuously contribute to a particular issue which has wide reaching benefits for Littlehampton or help enhance the town’s reputation.”

Past winners include the Sussex Tornados for their commitment to cheerleading and support to the community and Michelle Bly for her longstanding service to the community and fundraising in Wick.

Nominations can be made at www.littlehampton-tc.gov.uk/merit-awards or by filling in a form which can be posted to you by calling

The closing date is Monday, May 31.

Nominations made in 2020 will be included in this year’s awards so there is no need to nominate again if you did it last year.
