Volunteers ran a regular soup kitchen at Wick Hall during the November lockdown but their last day there was December 4 and they have since been looking for an alternative venue.

Organisers Steve McKeown and Helen Bradshaw wanted to give people a Christmas treat and have managed to organise a free LA Soup-ers Christmas Eve event.

“We realise its a tough time of year for many people and we hope to bring some Christmas cheer to those who need it most, especially in a world that is experiencing such pressures and stress.

“We will be occupanied by carol singers at Wick Hall, which will make it very festive.”

The Soup-ers will be open Christmas Eve from 3pm to 6pm at Going Spare in Wick Street, Littlehampton.

Pop along to get some soup and bread, along with mince pies, tea, coffee and mulled wine.
