Motoring misery as police respond to double road incident

RUSH-HOUR motorists last night (Tuesday, Novemer 4) faced a series of delays across Angmering and Poling after two separate emergencies on major roads.

The first took place on the A259 in Angmering, near the junction of Roundstone Lane.

Just before 5.30pm a male cyclist was involved in a minor collision with a car.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said the injured rider suffered only slight cuts.

Then, 45 minutes later police were called to an incident in Poling, on the eastbound A27 near Dover Lane.

One car left the road and officers were forced to slow traffic to a halt while helping deal with the situation.

The force’s spokesman added that there was no record of any damage or injury and that no other vehicle was involved.
