A WOMAN is in a critical, but stable, condition in hospital after being discovered in her Angmering home with multiple stab wounds last night (August 12).
Police and paramedics were called to a house in Fletcher Way at 11.18pm where the 41-year-old woman had been discovered with multiple injuries. About an hour later, a 46-year-old man, also from Angmering, was arrested nearby on suspicion of attempted murder.
He remained in custody on Thursday morning.
Detective Inspector Mandy Lawrence said: “The assault on the woman resulted in very serious injuries and she is currently in a medically-induced coma in the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
“Anyone with information about the incident is asked to email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 101 quoting Operation Windmill.”
