Labour Party members across the area have indicated their strong support for leader Jeremy Corbyn in light of a leadership challenge.
The Bognor Regis and Littlehampton branch consulted with members amid the developing national situation, with the majority backing Mr Corbyn.
Branch chairman Alan Butcher said: “They recognise that his refreshing and distinctive approach to politics, developing policies to create a fairer, equal society are fundamental to the support he enjoys amongst the rank and file membership who catapulted him to being leader last year.”
The branch has reported a surge in membership, in line with national trends.
A total of 87 new members and supporters have joined since the EU referendum, with the branch estimating its membership could soon rise past 600.
Mr Butcher said Mr Corbyn’s leadership was cited by those signing up.
