A woman has been charged with murdering her new born baby.
A police spokesman said an ambulance was called to a home in Aldwick Road, Bognor at 8.37am on Wednesday (April 6).
The baby girl was confirmed dead at the scene and the mother taken to St Richard’s Hospital, Chichester, for urgent medical treatment.
Gintare Suminaite, 29, of Aldwick Road, Bognor, was arrested on suspicion of murder when she was released from hospital and charged. She will appear at Crawley Magistrates’ Court on Monday (April 11).
Police were not looking for anyone else in connection with the murder, said the spokesman.
