A cyclist has been taken to hospital by air ambulance after colliding with a car.
Emergency services were called to Basin Road in Chichester at 8.14am on Friday (December 11).
Eye witnesses said the woman was trapped under the car. Paramedics treated the woman at the scene before she was taken to hospital.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “The female cyclist was being attended to by paramedics at 8.34am.
“The road is closed while the incident is being dealt with. An air ambulance landed at the scene at about 8.45am.”
Police said road is expected to be closed until midday.
