Emergency services were called to Littlehampton after a car ‘went out of control’ before crashing into a cemetery wall.
Police said a car was in collision with a cemetery wall in Horsham Road, Littlehampton, and the 54-year-old driver was treated at the scene by paramedics from the South East Coast Ambulance Service.
The Sussex Roads Policing Unit was on the scene and a spokesman for Sussex Police said: “A 54-year-old man from Wick escaped with minor injuries after his car went out of control and struck a cemetery wall on the B2187 Horsham Road, Littlehampton.
“The crash occurred shortly after 10am on Wednesday (December 9) and involved a green Toyota Corolla car, which struck a central bollard before veering across the road into the wall, 100 metres north of the road’s junction with Peregrine Road.
“The driver was taken to Worthing Hospital for treatment to cuts and bruises but was not detained.
“No one else was hurt.”
