SWIMMERS in Arundel will be able to take a festive plunge over the Christmas and New Year period once again.
The Arundel Lido will be opening from Christmas Eve until Boxing Day, and then New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day for those wanting a wintry swim.
Visitors will be able to splash around in the pool between 10am and 1pm each day with the water heated to 28 deg C.
David Wood, chairman of the trust which runs the Lido, said: “We are delighted to be opening again during the festive period.
“Many people find an outdoor swim invigorating at this time of year – and it can certainly cure any of those rare hangovers.”
Entry is £4 for adults and £2 for under-16s.
David May, the trust’s operations director is ready for the swims. He said: “I have had no problem finding lifeguards willing to turn out during the festive period and I shall enjoy chatting to the relaxed and friendly people who normally turn out for a fun swim at this time of year.”
