ARUNDEL Bowls Club’s ladies held a charity day on Thursday to raise money for St Barnabas House.

Members and other supporters dressed in pink for the annual Arundel Ladies Neighbours Day.

Ladies’ captain Terri Finch said: “We invited local clubs to join us, who were very generous.

“We had a big raffle and also a champagne draw.

“The match was followed by a nice tea. We wish to thank the Arun View and La Cucina restaurant for their generous raffle prizes.

“We also had our usual best-dressed prize and this year chose a pink theme.”

The Arundel Ladies Neighbours Day is an annual event, raising money for a different charity each year and featuring different colour themes.

Founded at the end of the 19th century, Arundel Bowling Club provides bowling facilities for the town’s residents and those in outlying districts through membership and occasional use for the paying public.

It is situated in a beautiful setting, close to the centre of Arundel and right under the entrance to Arundel Castle.
