The latest number of Covid-19 cases and deaths in Worthing

Worthing has reported another two Covid-19-related deaths in the past 24 hours, according to the latest government data.

Public Health England data shows a total of 90 have now died in Worthing within 28 days of a positive Covid-19 test.

The town has reported another 787 cases in the past seven days, at a rate of 711.8 cases per 100,000 people. This is a slight increase on last week’s infection rate of 678.3 per 100,000 people.

Worthing has reported the second highest rate of infection over the past week, behind only Crawley. Crawley’s infection rate now stands at 993.7 after 1,117 cases were reported in the past seven days.

– Adur - 410 cases in the past week at a rate of 637.6 per 100,000 people

– Arun - 980 cases in the past week at a rate of 609.6 per 100,000 people

– Chichester - 554 cases in the past week at a rate of 457.4 per 100,000 people
