THE National Basketball Association (NBA) today announced it has entered into a relationship with the BBC to deliver daily NBA video highlights on bbc.co.uk throughout the remainder of the 2008 NBA Play-offs and The Finals 2008
The new agreement marks the first time fans in the UK will be able to access daily NBA video content directly on bbc.co.uk. The BBC Sport website averages more than 10 million weekly unique visitors and is the UK's largest sports news website.

S
ophie Goldschmidt, NBA Europe Vice President for Marketing Partnerships and Business Development, said: "As the popularity of the NBA continues to grow throughout the UK, teaming with an industry leader like the BBC will provide basketball fans with another outlet to experience the excitement of the NBA Playoffs and The Finals."

Head of BBC Sport Interactive, Ben Gallop, added: "The NBA is one of the world's great sporting competitions and its popularity is growing all the time in the UK, so this is an excellent opportunity for BBC Sport to bring the best of the action to our audience."

"Basketball is one of the big Olympic sports and this link-up with the NBA allows us to tell the story of the major names in the sport from around the world in the build-up to the Beijing Games."

The NBA daily video highlights on BBC.co.uk will include game recaps along with capturing the best assists, dunks and buzzer beaters. Additionally, a weekly Top 10 segment will highlight the best plays of the week. Fans will also be able to access special NBA historical video features of exciting NBA moments through the years.

The 2008 NBA Play-offs tipped off on Saturday, April 19, with 16 teams competing for a trip to The Finals and the chance to win the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy. For more information visit NBA.com.
