Time to sign up for Littlehampton’s Armed Forces Day

PLANNING for this year’s Littlehampton Armed Forces Day has swung into action with typical military precision.

Joint organisers of the event, on June 29, Littlehampton Town Council and Harbour Park, are inviting groups and individuals to be involved by taking a pitch at the charity fair on The Green, a key part of the day.

Anyone who would like to come along and raise funds for service charities, or has a collection of military memorabilia to display, can fill in a form online on the town council’s website, here, or call 01903 732063 for more information.

Bookings must be made by March 29.

Other attractions include a seafront parade and drumhead service on The Green, action-packed arena displays, band performances and displays of military vehicles, miniature replicas and memorabilia.

A town council spokeswoman said the day was intended to honour the “outstanding contribution” by members of the armed forces past and present.
