CHILDBIRTH, waxing and exercise can leave many women crying in pain – but those topics, among others, had hundreds of women crying with laughter at Worthing’s Pavilion Theatre.
The seafront theatre was packed on Thursday (March 15) for the hilarious Hormonal Housewives sketch-show.
Margi Clarke, Laura Checkley and the show’s co-writer Julie Coombe were the tremendous trio who take the stage in a variety of guises from text-obsessed teenage girls and fitness first-timers to frisky OAPs.
Taking on sensitive and embarrassing subjects and making them light-hearted and comical, the women flow from sketch to sketch with ease and confidence.
The beauty of the script is the fact the scenarios they portray are ones every women has experience of.
The show was so refreshing. It was a real feel-good, fun-filled experience which had the audience gasping, whooping and laughing out loud – or lol if you prefer!
I took my mum along and she said she couldn’t remember laughing so much in a long time.
We, the hundreds of women and a few men – I only spotted three brave enough to attend – seemed to thoroughly enjoy the show and left with smiles on their faces.
There was only one downside – the fact Hormonal Housewives was only in Worthing for one night.
