Great craic at Celtic celebration night in Littlehampton

IRISH music and Irish food proved to be the perfect Celtic combination for a Littlehampton-based charity.

The Irish night held in aid of the Arun Sunshine Group for adults with a learning difficulty made a heart-warming total of more than ÂŁ1,000 on a chilly February night.

Sharon and Terry Evans, carers for two of the group’s members, organised the event at the St John Ambulance headquarters in Linden Park, Littlehampton.

It featured music by Two in Accord, the Keltic Knights and Threepenny Bit.

More than 100 people enjoyed the music and joined in the singing, with some dancing, too.

They were fuelled by a very tasty Irish stew and other light refreshments, with the proceeds, including ticket sales and the raffle, going towards the total.

Town mayor Alan Gammon attended and thanked everyone for their support and especially Sharon and Terry, for their hard work and effort to make it a big success.
