Drummer will speak at Arise meeting

Former Delirious? drummer Stew Smith, the speaker at the next Arise breakfast meeting.

Former Delirious? drummer Stew Smith, the speaker at the next Arise breakfast meeting.

FORMER Delirious? drummer Stew Smith is the speaker at the next Arise breakfast meeting.

Stew, who had a successful decade and more with the Christian rock/worship band, before leaving in 2008, is also an accomplished athlete and his subject will be “Keep Running”.

He grew up in a loving family in Bognor Regis and after leaving school started out in a career in graphic design.

Having learned to play the drums at the age of 14, he never imagined that one day his talent would take him around the world many times, performing in front of thousands of fans with Delirious?.

At the same time he was working on his fitness and developing his ability as a triathlete, competing for Great Britain in the sport in Germany.

Stew is married to Sarah and they have two teenage daughters. His talk promises to be an amazing journey of faith, rock and roll and creativity.

The Arise breakfast meeting is normally for women only, but on this occasion men are welcome, too, at the Wickbourne Centre, Clun Road, Littlehampton, at 8.45am on Saturday, February 11. Admission is £5, payable on the door, with the first visit free.

For more information, telephone 01903 782744 or email office@aruncommunitychurch.co.uk
