Raiders looking to kick start their run-in against Taunton

WORTHING Raiders Rugby Club return to action on Saturday in National 2 South with a home game against mid-table Taunton (3pm).

Raiders sit third in the table, eight points behind second-placed Richmond and a point further adrift of leaders Old Albanians.

Worthing need to win their last three games to have a chance of a top-two finish and automatic promotion or a play-off place.

Raiders head coach Kieron Dawson said: “We’ve just got to concentrate on our own game in the last three matches as that’s all we can control. Then, you never know what could happen.

“We’ve got a few injuries and Matt Miles (hernia) is now out for the season but we’ve got plenty of players in reserve, who are desperate for game time.”

Old Albanians, who Raiders travel to next Saturday, are at seventh-placed Shelford this Saturday and Richmond are away to fourth-placed Henley.
