Arundel Castle gets extra Sussex fixture

Arundel Castle Cricket Ground

Arundel Castle Cricket Ground

SUSSEX County Cricket Club have announced that they have arranged to switch their Clydesdale Bank 40 fixtures with neighbours Kent this season.

The home match against the Spitfires was due to take place on Monday, August 27, at The PROBIZ County Ground, Hove, but the fixture that day will instead be at Canterbury as Kent’s home fixture, with a 1.45pm start.

Sussex’s home fixture will now be earlier in the season on Monday, July 16, at the Arundel Castle Cricket Ground, also a 1.45pm start.

The match will add to an exciting week of cricket with the Arundel Festival beginning on Wednesday, July 18, with the LV=County Championship match against Durham, before the Sharks entertain Northamptonshire Steelbacks on Sunday, July 22, in the CB40 competition.
