Spurs hot for Seagulls youngster

Tottenham Hotspurs have their sights set on signing one of Brighton’s best young defenders – but it isn’t the one you would imagine.

Harry Redknapp has previously been linked with a move for the Albion’s impressive 20-year-old stopper Lewis Dunk after the centre half impressed throughout the first half of this season.

However, it is development squad starlet Grant Hall who the White Hart Lane outfit are keen to sign – sending scouts to watch him in action over the last few weeks.

Hall, who made an encouraging start to his Brighton career as a solid substitute against south coast rivals Southampton in January would no doubt be interested to hear what Spurs have to offer.

Were he to leave he would be the second highly rated young centre back to depart The Amex this season after Steve Cook left for Bournemouth after a successful loan spell.
