East Preston Football Club sealed a spot in the quarter-finals of the Southern Combination League Division 1 Cup on Tuesday evening.

EP’s prize is now a date with Steyning Town in the last-eight and Paine views any cup run as a bonus.

He said: “The aim for us this season is to get out of this division but any cup run is an added plus.

“This was as comfortable as the scoreline suggests. It shows that even with a couple of changes we are still able to field a strong team.”

Hunter slotted the home side ahead after seven minutes, before Franzen-Jones got his first 11 minutes later.

It was 3-0 a minute before the break when Franzen-Jones added his second.

EP added a fourth through Rance on 53 minutes.

EAST PRESTON: Cook; Josh Parazo, Lyne, Etherington, Jacob Parazo; Hallett, Gilbertson; Taylor, Franzen-Jones, Hunter; Rance. Subs: Goodman (Hallett 58), John (Lyne 74), Huet (Rance 76), Bull, Purkis.
