LITTLEHAMPTON Town Football Club booked their spot in the Sussex Senior Cup third round following a five-star showing on Tuesday.
Golds saw off their fellow Southern Combination League Premier Divsion opponents thanks to strikes from Ryan Bell, Scott Packer, Mitchell Hand, Nehniah McKenly-Burke and George Landais.
Things did not start well for Loxwood as they lost goalkeeper Harry Hilfiker through injury just ten minutes in and he was replaced by Matthew Camp.
The game’s first chance fell to Landais on 23 minutes.
Danny Hand’s long ball was misjudged by Lewis Scally allowing Golds top scorer in behind but he fired just wide.
That miss did not prove costly, though, and the home side were ahead nine minutes later.
Bell beat a Loxwood player before firing a left-foot thunderbolt into the top corner.
It got better for Golds as they went two goals ahead three minutes later.
This time Packer and Mitchell Hand exchanged passes before Packer slotted past Camp.
A fine first half for Littlehampton was then capped off two minutes before the break.
Mitchell Hand stepped up and saw his 20-yard free kick squirm under camp and go in.
Michael Wood should have pulled one back for Loxwood right on the stroke of half-time though.
He beat Hendrick to a long ball but somehow the Golds keeper managed to get back and make a recovering stop.
McKenley-Burke then made sure of his sides progress with a fine finish on 54 minutes.
Bell’s pinpoint pass played him in before he left Eddie French behind and slotted home from a tight angle.
Landais came close to adding a fifth after Mitchell Hand’s fine through ball found him.
But with just Camp to best somehow he side footed wide.
Landais then rounded off the scoring with a thunderous dipping volley to make it five.
LITTLEHAMPTON: Hendrick; Wiggans, D.Hand, Bates, M.Hand; Bell, Janman; Ball, Packer, McKinley-Burke, Landais. Subs: Beadle (Ball), Packer (Osbourne), Amoo (Landais), McKay, Leggatt.
