East Preston Football Club are all set for a bumper weekend as they mark their 50th anniversary.

Several games will take place at their Lashmar home to mark the occasion.

It all kicks off on Saturday with EP’s under-16 side hosting Worthing Town White at 10am.

The first team will then launch their new kit before taking on rivals Arundel with a 3pm start, before a Golden Jubilee draw takes place four hours later in the clubhouse.

An East Preston veterans team will take on a Nomad Forum side to bring the curtain down on celebrations on Sunday (11am kick-off).

EP chairman Terry Doyle believes it will be a special weekend for everyone involved.

He said: “The club has come such a long way in the past 50 years. Many committee members remember when this ground was just a park.

“We’ve had a great deal of success over the years and I’m sure this will be a great occasion. A lot of planning has gone into the events and I’m sure everyone involved will enjoy it.”

Entry for EP’s game with Arundel will be £3 for adults, £1 for concessions.
