ANGMERING Stoolball Club's dreams of four titles are over after their first competitive defeat in two years.
Already the Sussex League West Division champions, Angmering were hoping for a clean sweep like last year.

But, they lost on Sunday in the Seaford Top of the League Tournament semi-finals to Burwash, 71-68, which ended their winning run.

Burwa
sh, however, were unable to build on their victory and lost in the final, 71-69, against Horsted Keynes.

Angmering had progressed to the semi-finals with wins over Uckfield, Isfield and Partridge Green in their group.

Angmering could still complete the treble, though, and last week progressed to the KO Cup semi-finals after their win at Chiddingly.
They can also still win the overall Sussex title.

Hayley Shepperd took six wickets for 42 runs as Chiddingly were dismissed for 92. Angmering reached 100, with Melissa Mantle striking 39, before they retired.
