A man was due to appear in court at Worthing today (Thursday, September 18) charged with attempted murder, following the multiple stabbing of a young woman in a Littlehampton supermarket.
Samuel Reid-Wentworth, 21, of Longford Road, Bognor, was charged by police last night with the attempted murder of a 20-year-old woman from Littlehampton, at the Somerfield supermarket in Anchor Springs, on Tuesday, September 16.

The victim remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital at Southampton, but was said to have shown signs of improvement overnight.
