Solar soundbite

Well, the general election fast approaches, so of course, the politicians are now uttering soundbites to suit the mood of the people they are talking to. But how soon before they are contradicting themselves?

Littlehampton’s MP Nick Gibb is the latest to utter such comments (Gazette, February 19), regarding the proposed solar farm at Brookbank Farm, Lyminster.

I am not in any way commenting on the merits or de-merits of the scheme. merely Mr Gibb’s words that ‘such farms should be constructed away from people’s houses’.

Well, Mr Gibb, where? How far away? Please be positive, rather than negative.

How about the countryside? That’s definitely ‘away from people’s homes’.
