New charity launched for older people with no children

It was announced in the media in January this year that a new charity had been launched.

This was called Aging without Children and was aimed at helping older people without any offspring.

As I certainly fall into this group and without any close relatives, I wrote to the details given but do not recall getting a reply.

Any letter published in a national newspaper on this brought a reply from a Brighton lady informing me there was a branch I could join in Brighton involving three bus charges for me.

What a pity this charity is not better organised as there are many of us all over the country who would love to meet other oldies in the same boat. My only relative is 103 in far off Suffolk.

It would be grand to find a local branch for people like me truly envy those lucky enough to belong to a large, close family. People are riches!
