To the people of Worthing and Adur,
I would first like to note my pleasure at the number of people who put their trust in Labour candidates Beccy Cooper and Sophie Cook at the General Election.
It was a fantastic result and a huge step forward for progressive politics in the area. Worthing and Adur have most definitely changed!
Secondly, I would like to thank all those who voted, regardless of party, for taking part in our wonderful democratic process.
Though the system may be flawed, we should all be glad to have the unhindered opportunity to make our feelings felt, unlike so many others around the world.
Thirdly, I’d like to encourage anyone who felt unable to vote for whatever reason, to take another look at my party.
I believe that The Labour Party offers the hopeful and aspirational choice for Worthing, Adur and the whole of Britain.
And for those who say that nothing ever changes, just look at Worthing and Adur’s results in the General Election.
They showed, as did the results in many former safe Conservative seats like Canterbury and Kensington, that anything is possible if people vote.
