Remembering Bob

WE were very sad to hear of the death of our good friend Bob Dowall. We spent many hours with him collecting thousands of signatures on letters calling for Littlehampton Hospital to be rebuilt, and also went out, without Bob, to gather more support in Arundel, as well as Littlehampton, whatever the weather.

We had to get the bus in every day, and like Bob used scooters from Shopmobility to be out and about, at first paying for the hire, but later being allowed to use them for free.

We promised Bob we could continue the fight with him for the hospital in whatever form it was going to take, after NHS Sussex made its decision. Like us, he was very, very disappointed with the decision.

We feel it is disgusting the decision that has been made after all the money that has been raised for the hospital.

How the fight we will continue, we don’t know, but we are willing to carry on. We are just waiting to hear.

Millie and Fred Harman
